In a private meeting with Penny Hardaway, legendary Nike designer Eric Avar had the task of presenting Penny with a new shoe. After going through various models Hardaway asked to see what was in the bag when Avar pulled out a synthetic, neon sneaker, molded form new technology. Hardaway fell in love with the Air Foamposite and it is perhaps his most famed shoe. The shoe was made famous for it�s steep price tag ($180) and endorsement by Penny. Mike Bibby also wore the shoe at Arizona during his Championship run his freshmen year. An all-time class, the Nike Air Foamposite broke ground in technology and design. Foamposite technology is still around and used today.
